The Hunger Walk route is two miles long. Funds raised by the Hunger Walk support a local network of food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters fighting hunger every day throughout Cook County. Over 31 years, the Hunger Walk has grown into the area’s largest anti-hunger rally and a strong symbol of our shared belief that no one should go hungry. Last year’s event brought 12,000 walkers to the lakeshore to raise funds and awareness for the fight against hunger in Cook County. With live entertainment and activities for all ages, the Hunger Walk is a fun and impactful event for the whole family, friends and coworkers.
