8th Day Center for Justice Lunch & Learn

April 19, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Free

8th Day CenterThis past January, a large delegation including 8th Day for Justice staffer Jill Landrith visited Honduras at the invitation of Father Ismael Moreno Coto, affectionately known by his community as Padre Melo. He is a Jesuit priest serving the people of Honduras. Padre Melo called for the delegation to visit because he has found that his life is in danger for amplifying the voices of those in his community.

The 8th Day Center for Justice is hosting a panel discussion featuring Jill Landrith, Trini Sanches, Daniel Dale, Lora Burge to talk about their experience in Honduras, the political crisis that led to their visit and the next steps called for by the people living there.

This event is free and open to the public. RSVP by April 17th.  8th Day will have Fair Trade coffee and tea available.  You can pick up lunch at Jimmy John’s, on the first floor of the building, or at many other restaurants in the area–Nesh, Au Bon Pain, and Cosi to name a few.

Please contact JoAnne Harbert Bahti at joanne@8thdaycenter.org or (312) 641-5151, X116  to RSVP.
