Money and Spirituality

September 22, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Featuring Juan Lorenzo Hinojosa
There are many things in life more important than money, among them family and health.  On the other hand, we need money, we work for it, we use it, we even might be confused and conflicted about it.  In this session, we will explore how we relate to money and  how our spirituality might enter into that relationship.  In addition, our time will be dedicated to some fundamentals of money management.  The session will be interactive and we encourage people to come with questions and concerns.
Juan-Lorenzo Hinojosa is the founder of Solidarity Bridge, an Evanston non-profit/mission organization that provides a channel for persons, organizations and companies to impact the lives of those in need through contributions of expertise, talent and resources.  He also founded Puente de Solidaridad, a sister organization in Bolivia.  A key part of Solidarity Bridge and Puente de Solidaridad’s mission is to help advance high complexity surgery in Latin America.  His entrepreneurial gift has expressed itself in the founding of businesses and a number of centers and training programs. As an educator he has taught at the Oblate School of Theology, St. Edward’s University, the Jesuit School of Theology and Notre Dame University. He has a Ph.D. in theology with a specialization in spirituality, is married, has five children.
