Maurin, Peter Peter Maurin was a social activist who co-founded the Catholic Worker Movement with Dorothy Day. He traveled extensively, lecturing at parishes, colleges, and meetings across the country and expressed his ideas through short pieces of verse that became known as Easy Essays.
