Creating a Culture of Nonviolence

The Beth Hillel Bnai Emunah Men’s Club “Food for Thought Breakfast” will feature speakers Phil Andrew and Teny Gross.

Phil is currently the Director of Anti-Violence programs for the Archdiocese of Chicago, where he is responsible for all aspects of safety, programs, and partnership. He is a former FBI director and a survivor from a Winnetka school shooting that occurred 30 years ago. Phil will be speaking about how our community can work with other organizations that have successfully implemented anti-violence programs.

Teny is the Executive Director of the Institute for Nonviolence Chicago whose mission is to
reduce violence in Chicago’s most violent neighborhoods. He is a veteran of the Israel Defense Forces.
