EPA Public Hearing on Affordable Clean Energy Rule

Under direction from the current Administration, the EPA is proposing a new rule to change regulations to pollution from coal power plants.
This proposed rule – the so-called Affordable Clean Energy Rule – will cause up to 1,400 premature deaths annually by 2030 due to increases in pollution, according to estimates provided by the Administration.
This will be the only public hearing in the country on this rule.
People of faith can speak out for clean air, clean water, and the health of our communities. Written statements and supporting information submitted during the comment period will be considered with the same weight as oral comments and supporting information presented at the public hearing. The public comment period on this proposal is open until October 31, 2018. Comments should be identified by Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OAR-2017-0355 and may be submitted by one of the following methods:
