Liberation Theology and the Journey of the Monarch Butterfly

The guest speaker will Cristobal Cavazos, co-founder of Immigrant Solidarity DuPage, who will explain the symbolic link between the monarch butterfly’s migration and Latino immigrant solidarity.

Cristobal Cavazos is a co-founder of Immigrant Solidarity DuPage, the largest Latino advocacy organization in Chicago’s western suburbs. Its mission is to educate, unite and mobilize the community around the rights and struggles of Latinos in DuPage County. Cavazos is also a public speaker, published journalist, musician and artist and has been active in other popular
campaigns in Chicagoland in the struggle for social justice.
