The Anne Frank Legacy

December 2, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

A presentation by Gillian Walnes Perry, MBE.

How has Anne Frank succeeded – where other initiatives have failed – in bringing together those from different sides in intractable conflicts and breaking down deeply held prejudices against ‘the other’? What are the often surprising long-term legacies she has left behind?

These are the questions presented to a world of increasing intolerance, hostility and prejudice by Gillian Walnes Perry author of The Anne Frank Legacy and co-founder the Anne Frank Trust in London in 2010 with the help of family and friends of Anne’s father, Otto Frank. For her tireless  humanitarian work, especially in the field of education, Ms. Walnes Perry was awarded an MBE (Member of the British Empire) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2010. In a time of great divisiveness, rancor and lack of civil discourse and respect for the other, Ms. Walnes Perry brings the message of Anne Frank into the present as a healing balm and possible path to peace. This event is free (although a freewill offering will be taken up) and is presented under the auspices of the St. Gregory the Great Evangelization Through the Arts Ministry.
