Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC)

TRAC

TRAC (Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse) is a data gathering, data research, and data distribution organization that was founded in 1989 at Syracuse University. Primarily through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), provides the American people — and institutions of oversight such as Congress, news organizations, public interest groups, businesses, scholars, and lawyers — with comprehensive information about staffing, spending, and enforcement activities of the federal government. Using information from the FBI, the IRS, Immigration Court and the DEA, TRAC provides up to date data on immigration, white collar crime, drugs and weapons. Resources include a website, a data warehouse, search and reporting capability, training, tutorials and research. Learn more.
