Taking Care of Our Earth – What Our Sacred Texts Teach

A panel discussion of various religious leaders moderated by Rev. Brian Sauder, President and Executive Director of Faith in Place.

The panelists will include:

  • Dianne Bergant CSA PhD Professor of Old Testament Studies at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago.
  • Craig Loehle PhD, Principal Scientist at the National Council for Air and Stream Improvement
  • Rabbi Isaac Serotta, Congregation Makom Solel Lakeside, Highland Park

The panel will focus on the members of major faith traditions are taught about stewardship of the environment. Attendees will learn about how they can take up the role of environmental stewardship within their organization and in cooperation with other faith communities.

Refreshments to follow, plus environmental organization table-top exhibits.

Its mission is to foster interfaith understanding and sensitivity by providing a forum for interfaith dialogue, and developing programs that provide service to the community at large and engage in participation by the member faith-based communities.
